Heather Wynne, Psychologist
Heather Wynne helps children, teens, and young adults gain clarity, understanding, and a path forward through comprehensive psychological assessment at LifeStance Health in New York. She provides thoughtful, developmentally informed evaluations that help families and care teams better understand emotional, behavioral, and learning needs, with the goal of supporting progress at home, in school, and in daily life throughout New York. As a licensed psychologist, Heather specializes in psychological testing for concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, and mood-related challenges, while also offering assessment support for additional clinical needs. Her work is grounded in careful observation, evidence-based measures, and collaboration with caregivers and other providers to ensure results are meaningful and practical. She treats children, adolescents, teens, and young adults, tailoring each evaluation to the individual’s age, strengths, and presenting concerns. A central focus of Heather’s work is trauma-informed assessment, including evaluations related to school avoidance and emotional distress connected to past or ongoing stressors. She is particularly passionate about helping families understand how trauma, anxiety, and environmental factors may be affecting a child’s functioning, and she approaches testing with sensitivity, curiosity, and respect for each client’s experience. In addition to these focus areas, she offers assessment services for a range of other psychological and developmental concerns. Heather has experience working with individuals involved in adoption or foster care, as well as those with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys playing volleyball, spending time hiking, and unwinding with board games, interests that reflect her appreciation for teamwork, balance, and connection.
