Val Berrios, Therapist
Valeria Berrios, a Marriage and Family Therapist at LifeStance Health, helps individuals, couples, and families across Arizona navigate life’s challenges and strengthen their emotional well-being. She provides a warm and collaborative therapeutic space where children, teens, and adults can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Valeria works with clients to identify patterns that may be holding them back and empowers them to create meaningful change, whether they are coping with anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties. Valeria specializes in supporting clients through complex emotional experiences such as anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. She integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build resilience, manage overwhelming emotions, and find new ways to approach life’s stressors. Her approach emphasizes emotional awareness, mindfulness, and actionable strategies that foster growth and healing. She also offers Family and Couples Therapy to help improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen connection within relationships. Valeria is especially passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate relationship transitions, infidelity, and divorce. She understands that intimate relationships can be both deeply rewarding and profoundly painful, and she helps clients heal from betrayal, restore self-worth, and rediscover what it means to connect in healthy and fulfilling ways. With compassion and skill, Valeria guides clients through rebuilding confidence and emotional balance during times of change. Outside of her clinical work, Valeria finds balance through weightlifting, reading nonfiction books on psychology and personal development, and spending time with her two dogs, who add joy and laughter to her life. These practices keep her grounded and inspire the self-care values she encourages in her clients.
