Maureen Jobe, Therapist
Maureen Jobe helps individuals and families in Arizona find meaningful, lasting relief from emotional distress and behavioral challenges. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, offering a compassionate, strengths-based approach that supports healing at every stage of life. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, depression, or the long-term effects of trauma, Maureen creates a safe and supportive environment to help them feel heard, empowered, and capable of growth.
Maureen has extensive experience supporting children under 12 and their families, particularly those facing behavioral challenges, ADHD, and the complexities of adoption, foster care, or developmental differences. Her work with parents often includes strategies grounded in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and parenting skills training to strengthen emotional bonds and improve communication. She also works with adults experiencing life transitions, grief, and trauma-related symptoms, using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
She is particularly passionate about treating trauma-related concerns. Drawing from her training in EMDR and Brainspotting, Maureen supports clients in processing distressing experiences at a deep, somatic level, helping release the tension stored in the nervous system and fostering emotional regulation and mind-body healing. Her trauma-informed care also incorporates mindfulness and body-based practices to support self-awareness and resilience in clients of all ages.
Maureen is experienced in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with autism spectrum disorders, and people with developmental disabilities. She also has experience supporting clients with sleep disorders, somatoform disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, and provides both individual and group therapy. Outside of her clinical work, Maureen finds joy in hiking, pickleball, walking, reading, and traveling activities that reflect her belief in maintaining balance, connection, and personal well-being. She brings this holistic perspective into her work, encouraging clients to connect with what matters most in their lives.
