Becky Grenfell, Therapist
As a clinician, my objective is to collaboratively tailor a plan that will aid you in achieving your goals. Often individuals seek assistance for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, family conflict, relationship difficulties, alcohol and substance use, ADHD, and life stressors. We can work on these together. Along with taking a strengths-based approach, I use a variety of evidence-based and creative techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, behavior modification, mindfulness, relaxation, art and play therapy, development of coping skills, family systems, and more.
I provide individual therapy for children, teens, and adults, as well as couples and family therapy. In addition to the above areas of focus, I have experience assisting individuals who are pursuing creative endeavors to overcome barriers and reach their goals. I am LGBTQIA+ allied and have experience working with individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community.
It was eighteen years ago while attending undergraduate school that I entered the field of mental health as a volunteer working with runaway youth and mentoring teens in a group home setting. While attending graduate school, I provided crisis intervention and designed therapeutic programming at a crisis stabilization unit. I completed my initial training at a homeless shelter program for families. Since graduating in 2010, I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children in a variety of settings, including office-based, school-based, short-term residential, group home, private practice, community-based, and in-home. I am licensed as an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) in the state of California and a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in the state of Washington.
