Erika Clever, Therapist
Erika Clever, LMFT, helps patients in California navigate challenges that impact their daily lives, relationships, and sense of well-being. She offers individual therapy for teens and adults, providing a grounded, compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences and begin meaningful healing. Erika supports adolescents, young adults, and adults who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, and overwhelming life transitions.
At LifeStance Health, Erika brings focused expertise in several key areas, especially parent–child relationship issues, marital and couple’s issues, and self-esteem concerns. She is particularly passionate about helping individuals and couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and understand the emotional patterns that shape their connections. Her work also extends to supporting women through postpartum depression and anxiety, guiding clients through midlife transitions, and assisting those experiencing grief or trauma-related symptoms. These areas of specialty form the heart of her practice and reflect her commitment to helping clients restore balance and emotional clarity.
Erika tailors care using evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She also integrates mindfulness and exposure-based approaches when appropriate. While she most often works with women and men, she offers additional interventions to meet a wide range of therapeutic needs.
Outside the therapy room, Erika enjoys time in nature and with the many animals in her life. Camping, fishing, beach days, and road trips help her unwind, as do trying new foods, working on puzzles, exploring trivia, and relaxing with a cup of tea. Her home is joyfully busy with three cattle dogs, a cat, and several reptiles, including a leopard gecko, a black and white tegu, and an Ackie monitor.
