Desirae Leann Yoder, Therapist
Desirae Yoder, LMFT, helps adults in California navigate life’s challenges with empathy, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to healing. She provides individual therapy to adults across a range of life stages, from young adults to those in midlife and beyond. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply seeking greater self-awareness, Desirae creates a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in their journey. At LifeStance Health, she brings over a decade of experience to her work with individuals throughout California.
Desirae is particularly passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, or anxiety. Her trauma-informed approach ensures clients are met with compassion and safety, allowing them to process difficult experiences and build meaningful coping strategies. She understands the deep impact that unresolved trauma and persistent emotional distress can have on daily functioning and self-perception. Desirae collaborates closely with her clients, guiding them toward increased resilience, self-compassion, and empowerment.
In addition to her focus on trauma, depression, and anxiety, Desirae also works with individuals navigating ADHD, substance use issues, reproductive and postpartum challenges, and bipolar disorder. She is experienced in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals involved in adoption or foster care, and others seeking identity-affirming and culturally responsive care. Her approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to help clients build insight and achieve lasting change.
Outside of her clinical work, Desirae enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and swimming, as well as engaging in creative hobbies like knitting and crocheting. She believes that healing involves nurturing the mind, body, and spirit—both in and outside the therapy room.
