Jennifer Fields, Therapist
Jennifer Fields Ferris helps teens and adults across California work through life’s challenges by offering compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. She supports clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, creating a therapeutic space where growth and resilience can take root. With an integrative approach, she focuses on helping clients strengthen coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and foster healthier relationships.
Jennifer has a particular passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with attention deficit disorders. She incorporates creative approaches, including art therapy, as a powerful tool for improving communication, building social skills, and supporting emotional expression. This focus allows her to connect meaningfully with clients who may struggle to articulate their inner world, giving them alternative pathways to healing and personal development.
In her work, Jennifer utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. These interventions allow her to tailor care to each individual’s needs, whether addressing stress, relationship difficulties, or the impact of medical and developmental challenges. She also serves unique populations such as first responders and individuals with developmental disabilities, offering specialized care that reflects both clinical expertise and cultural awareness.
Since beginning her practice in 2006, Jennifer has dedicated herself to helping clients live more fulfilling, balanced lives. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys exploring the visual arts and design, studying the role of evolving technologies in shaping culture, and considering how these changes affect identity and psychological well-being. She also has a strong interest in the intersection of art therapy and mental health, viewing creative expression as a powerful tool for healing.
