Corina Cervantes, Therapist
Corina Cervantes, LMFT, helps patients across California find relief from emotional overwhelm, relationship strain, and life transitions by offering grounded, compassionate, and clinically informed therapy. She supports children, adolescents, teens, and adults, creating a safe and steady therapeutic environment where each person can gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. As part of LifeStance Health, she is committed to providing accessible, patient-centered care to California communities.
Corina frequently works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, helping them understand their symptoms and build tools to improve daily functioning. She also supports patients managing ADHD and midlife transitions, as well as those experiencing grief or sleep difficulties, and offers additional help for those facing complex emotional or family stressors.
Corina works with diverse populations and emphasizes collaboration, helping patients strengthen internal resources and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges.
Corina is especially dedicated to guiding individuals from adoption or foster care backgrounds and first responders who carry the weight of unique stress and emotional demands. She approaches these populations with sensitivity to their lived experiences, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, understanding, and practical strategies for resilience.
Her therapeutic approach brings together Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnosis, Mindfulness, and Parenting Skills, supported by additional interventions tailored to each patient’s needs. To expand on hypnosis, this process is intentional, because by distracting the conscious mind, we bypass the critical faculty to access the subconscious and thus facilitate changes in an individual’s behavior, beliefs, and/or emotions. In other words, it is a state that generates new resources and more productive responses that can be learned and practiced. A change in perspective allows people to respond differently, enabling each individual to create a different perception of themselves and a distinct identity, just as we have done since childhood.
Outside the therapy room, Corina enjoys camping with her family, coloring, reading, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. She has also begun exploring photography and learning to play the piano- creative outlets that bring joy and balance to her life. She also speaks Spanish, allowing her to support a broader range of patients in culturally responsive ways.
