Juan Gomez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 Years of experience as a therapist treating ailments such as ADHD, Anxiety/ Panic disorders, Bi-Polar, Behavioral Issues, Developmental Disabilities, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sexual and Physical Abuse and other Forms of childhood Traumas, Juan also specializes family dysfunction and familial Relationships. Juan treats clients 12 years and older and works with Families. Juan has experience in diagnosing, planning, and treating clients using a diverse set of evidence-based practices to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Therapy (Solution Based therapy), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Alternatives for Families a Cognitive Behavioral Approach (AF-CBT). Juan also practices a a plethora of relaxation techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided meditation, grounding, and mindfulness. Juan psychotherapeutic perspective relies heavily on neuroscience, modern psychology, and human development. Juan often employs the use of homework and technology to reinforce the weeks work in-between sessions. In his free time Juan likes to spend his time hiking with his dogs, trivia, and going to live concerts/sporting events with friends and family. Juan Has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology form the university of California, Davis. He received his Master of Social Work for the University of Southern California.
