Diane Dameron is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California who has been practicing since 1991. She has a B.A. in Child Development and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology. Diane’s hope for you is that you feel heard, respected, and as comfortable in your appointments as possible. Together you and Diane can utilize the appointments to identify and work on goals, discuss the impact of recent issues and events, or just talk about how to build strengths and overcome negative feelings.

She has experience working in nonprofit, group practice and has spent many years on the military base working with active-duty military members and their families. Diane works with individuals, couples, and families. She enjoys working with all ages and has a strong focus on children, teens and young people working on launching into their next stage of development. Diane works with people who present many different life concerns from anxiety, depression, PTSD, work related stress, family stress, relationship issues and more. She has experience in short-term resolution focused counseling, motivational interviewing, CBT, and EFT. The most important component of Diane’s work is that her clients participate in identifying and setting their goals and objectives for the work they want to do, and the changes they want to take place.

Outside of her professional career, Diane enjoys working her hobby farm, raising her goats, chickens, and ducks. She has five dogs and two cats. Her Anatolian Sheppard and great pyrenes dogs are known as livestock guardian dogs. Her Anatolian Sheppard has defended them and chased off one mountain lion in her career. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking long walks.
