Amanda Mahony Albanese (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health specialized in working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, substance use disorders and LGBTQI+ issues. Amanda works with patients between the ages of 18 and 65 utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Amanda has completed trainings in DBT, TF-CBT, Mindfulness Resilience Training, Complex Trauma, Reiki I, Yoga for Trauma and Play Therapy. Amanda is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), having received her 300 hour in 2017 from Sadhana Yoga in New York and her 200 hour in 2015 from Burlington Yoga in Vermont. In her clinical work, Amanda is well versed in both traditional therapeutic techniques as well as creative modalities like play therapy, inner child work, role play, and guided imagery. Amanda received a Master of Arts in Clinical Holistic Mental Health Counseling from Salve Regina University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Champlain College. She is a Director-at-Large on the Board of CAMP Rehoboth, and enjoys getting to the beach or the mountains whenever she can.
