Maria Berezkina is a License Mental Health Counselor, who has been practicing since 2013. She has graduated from University of Central Florida with Master’s degree in mental health counseling and certificate in marriage and family and couple’s counseling. Her experience includes working with adults, adolescents and population with SPMI diagnosis. She is experienced in working with trauma and traumatic symptoms, anxiety, depression, SPMI (delusions, paranoid symptoms, hallucinations), adjustment issues, transitions related to stages of life/changes in life, issues related to various family dynamics and other interpersonal issues, intrapersonal conflicts, grief and unresolved issues from the past. Maria is using client-centered and individualized approach; preferred modalities include (but not limited to) CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness-based strategies, client empowerment and self-knowledge.Maria Berezkina was born in 1981 in former Soviet Union and immigrated to United Stated in 2002. She is familiar with various issues related to immigration (stress related to official procedures and processes, separation from families and cultures, regaining self-identity, etc.) Maria speaks Russian fluently.Maria has a daughter and several beloved pets; she loves travelling, attending various social events and crafting.
