Trisha Bordas, Therapist
Trisha Bordas, MSW, LCSW has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida International University and a master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Social Work. She obtained graduate certification in clinical social work in 2022 with a focus on trauma-informed care and comparative treatment modalities.
Her primary treatment modality is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); however, Trisha develops unique interventions tailored to each client’s specific interests and goals to ensure the most solution-focused and impactful therapeutic journey. She believes good therapy should 1) provide a safe space for self-expression, 2) increase the effective use of interpersonal, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and distress tolerance skills, and 3) stimulate new insight to reframe and address life challenges and transitions.
In her spare time, Trisha volunteers as a recreation and pet-assisted therapist and is developing a nonprofit to bring small hypoallergenic healing animals to clients in hospice care. She also enjoys the beautiful South Florida beaches and attending local festivals and cultural events with family and friends.
