Jodie Marie Shrode, Therapist
Jodie Marie Shrode helps clients build stability, insight, and practical skills to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and emotional balance. She provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors across Florida, creating a supportive space where individuals and families can feel understood while working toward meaningful change. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she partners with clients to address concerns that impact daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being. A central focus of Jodie’s work is supporting individuals who are recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital and need thoughtful, structured care during this critical transition period. She is especially passionate about helping clients regain a sense of safety, routine, and autonomy while reducing the risk of relapse or rehospitalization. Jodie also has extensive experience assisting with disability paperwork, helping clients clearly document mental health conditions and functional limitations in a way that reduces stress and confusion during an already overwhelming process. In her clinical practice, Jodie most often treats anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also offering support for additional mental health conditions. She works with populations beyond men and women, including children and adolescents, teens, LGBTQ+ individuals, and military members and veterans. Her therapeutic approach commonly incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies, with additional interventions available as needed. Jodie provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy, and she also offers services in Spanish. Outside of her clinical work, Jodie enjoys working out, reading, traveling, cooking, and staying active with golf and pickleball—interests that reflect her belief in balance, wellness, and lifelong growth. She proudly serves children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors throughout Florida through LifeStance Health.
