Shavanda Ferguson, Therapist
Shavanda Ferguson, LCSW, helps adolescents, young adults, and adults in Florida navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience. With a compassionate and grounded approach, she works closely with individuals and families to address a range of concerns including anxiety, ADHD, and substance use. Shavanda offers individual, group, and family therapy, as well as intensive outpatient program (IOP) services. She brings nearly a decade of experience to her work and partners with each client to identify goals and build practical strategies using evidence-based interventions. At LifeStance Health, Shavanda is especially passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and teens struggling with school avoidance, behavioral issues, or emotional dysregulation. Her clinical expertise includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and parenting skills training—modalities she uses to foster meaningful progress and lasting change in her clients’ lives. Shavanda is particularly committed to helping families and caregivers better understand child development and strengthen their parenting approaches. She recognizes how parenting stress, generational trauma, and misunderstood behaviors can create barriers to connection. With empathy and insight, she supports parents and caregivers in creating nurturing, structured environments where both children and adults can thrive. Her guidance is especially beneficial for those navigating complex transitions, including midlife shifts and later life challenges. Outside of her clinical work, Shavanda enjoys dancing and reading as part of her own self-care practices. She believes in modeling balance and joy in life, which she encourages clients to cultivate in their own ways.
