Lea Herbert, Therapist
Lea Herbert helps individuals and families across Florida navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, emotional balance, and resilience. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individualized therapy for teens, adults, and seniors, offering support for anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, while also addressing a wide range of additional mental health needs. Her approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, helping clients build practical skills and lasting insight. Lea is especially passionate about working with individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands the vulnerability of this transition and focuses on stabilizing symptoms, strengthening coping strategies, and creating a supportive path forward. By combining evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, she helps clients regain confidence and maintain progress outside of higher levels of care. In addition to individual therapy, Lea offers couples and family therapy, supporting relationship growth and improved communication. She has experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, military veterans, and first responders, and remains attentive to the unique experiences each person brings to therapy. Her work also extends to areas such as substance use, ADHD, and life transitions, with additional specialties available to meet a variety of client needs. Outside of her clinical work, Lea enjoys swimming and values time spent staying active and recharging through movement. Lea Herbert provides comprehensive mental health therapy services throughout Florida, helping clients build healthier relationships, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
