Eva McKee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience assisting people who are having difficulties coping with life transitions. This includes relationship difficulties, blended family dynamics, and work-life balance issues, including adjustment to retirement and age-related physical changes. Eva has a medical background and can address issues related to chronic, or life-threatening medical conditions, which affect both physical and emotional functional status. Eva has worked to support caregivers and also has understanding of grief and loss issues in all stages of life. Eva has training and experience discussing the importance of advance care planning including living wills, and health care surrogates. Eva has familiarity and comfort working with various ethnic, religious, socioeconomic and other culturally diverse populations. Eva treats patients 18 and older, and using motivational, client centered, strength-based approaches. Eva uses techniques from insight-oriented, solution focused, mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models. Eva enjoys being outdoors and seeing local points of interest in her free time. Eva has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois.
