Sherri Burruss, Therapist
Sherri Burruss completed her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Piedmont College. She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia, a certified clinical trauma professional and an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapy clinician who is passionate about providing high-quality care. With over a decade of experience, Sherri has a solid clinical foundation specializing in trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, co-occurring disorders, and life transitions in the adult population.
Sherri believes that healing is a journey. She is dedicated to providing a safe, nonjudgmental, comfortable environment while walking with adults of diverse backgrounds through the healing process. By developing trust in the therapeutic alliance and utilizing an integrative approach such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused, and strength-based, Sherri provides a customized individual plan of care with guidance for self-empowerment skills, a sense of purpose and healing.
In her free time, Sherri enjoys outdoor activities, music, reading, traveling, sports and spending time with her family and Biewer Yorkie Terriers.
