Eddie Hancock, Therapist
Eddie Hancock is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia who has been practicing since 2013. He earned a BS in Psychology and a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. Utilizing an eclectic range of therapies with a diverse client population, Eddie strives to meet clients where they are in their journey while helping them pursue the goals they will find rewarding. He has a passion for whole wellness, encourage clients to build resiliency by investing in multiple areas of their lives. Prior to joining LifeStance, Eddie worked in public service for almost two decades.
First as an EMT and Firefighter before transitioning to into the mental health field where he worked for a state agency helping a diverse range of clients using an integrative and eclectic range of therapy approaches. His philosophy is based around meeting a client where they are, treating the whole person, helping clients pursue goals relevant to them, and understanding sometimes clients hold their own answers buried inside them. Although his experience includes working with adults living with substance abuse issues, suicidality, depression, anxiety disorders, relationship conflicts, personality disorders, bipolar disorders, trauma, psychosis, etc., Eddie holds the belief that clients aren’t defined by their diagnosis.
Outside of work, Eddie is a regular participant in the DDP Yoga program. He also enjoys running, reading, writing, being outdoors, playing music, and spending time with his wife, son, and cat.
