Sandra Rincon, Therapist

Sandra Rincon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2017. She graduated from the University of St. Francis with a Bachelor’s of Social Work and from Aurora University with a Master’s of Social Work. Sandra has experience with working in community-based mental health alongside first responders as a police social worker with a background in suicide prevention, grief, and crisis stabilization. She has competency in working with individuals that have experienced symptoms of trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, and needing crisis stabilization. Sandra speaks Spanish fluently and is passionate in working with adolescents and adults. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness into therapy and utilizing an empowerment approach. Sandra welcomes the use of humor and offers a safe space. When she is not working, Sandra enjoys taking her lab terrier mix for a run on a trail when it’s nice out. For self-care she goes to the gym, enjoys reading self-improvement books, and drawing.
