Kylie VanDyke, Therapist
Kylie VanDyke, LCSW, provides compassionate and evidence-based mental health care to individuals across Illinois. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Kylie specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD. Her person-centered approach empowers clients to recognize their inherent value, fostering positive thinking patterns and a deep sense of self-worth. Whether working with individuals struggling to manage school, relationships, or life transitions, Kylie creates a space where clients feel heard and supported on their journey toward growth and healing.
Kylie has a particular passion for supporting adolescents, young adults, and women, particularly those facing postpartum challenges or navigating women-specific issues. She is experienced in trauma-informed care and utilizes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process and heal from difficult experiences. She also works with individuals dealing with grief, reproductive challenges, and school avoidance, helping them build resilience and find practical strategies for managing life’s stressors. Kylie’s approach combines empathy and evidence-based interventions to address each client’s unique needs.
In addition to treating common concerns like anxiety and depression, Kylie also works with specialized populations, including individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.
She incorporates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family Therapy to support clients’ mental health and relationship goals. Kylie’s experience spans various settings, including community mental health, schools, and residential treatment, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the diverse challenges her clients face.
Outside of her professional life, Kylie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and relaxing at home with board games. She values the balance between connection and relaxation, bringing this sense of harmony into her therapeutic work.
