Tori Hairston, Therapist
Tori Hairston, LPC, helps teens, adults, and seniors across Illinois build stability, resilience, and meaningful change through personalized, evidence-based therapy at LifeStance Health. She provides Individual and Family Therapy for ages 15 and older, offering steady support for those navigating emotional overwhelm, relationship strain, and significant life transitions. With a grounded and compassionate approach, Tori partners with clients to create practical strategies that foster long-term mental wellness and improved daily functioning. Tori specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, and she has particular passion for supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands how vulnerable the transition from inpatient care to everyday life can feel and works closely with clients to strengthen coping skills, prevent relapse, and rebuild confidence. Her approach is structured yet empathetic, helping clients regain a sense of control while processing difficult experiences in a safe, nonjudgmental space. In addition to her core specialties, Tori has experience supporting individuals facing ADHD and alcohol or drug use issues, and she offers additional areas of support tailored to each client’s needs. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address unhelpful thought patterns, regulate intense emotions, and clarify personal values. When appropriate, she incorporates Family Therapy to strengthen communication and relational stability. Tori also has experience working with LGBTQ+ clients, first responders, and military/veterans, providing affirming and culturally responsive care. Her therapeutic style balances clinical expertise with warmth and authenticity. She believes healing happens when clients feel both understood and empowered with practical tools they can use outside of session. Outside of her clinical work, Tori enjoys cooking, watching her favorite TV shows, playing volleyball, attending local events, and spending quality time with family and friends.
