Becca Taylor, Therapist
Becca Taylor, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor who provides individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults across Illinois. Her clinical practice is rooted in evidence-based care, creativity, and a strong commitment to patient-centered treatment. Ms. Taylor works with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and trauma-related conditions.
She has particular expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals and those engaged in identity exploration, offering a safe and affirming therapeutic environment that promotes psychological growth and emotional healing. Her approach is collaborative and empathetic, helping patients develop insight, improve emotional regulation, and enhance interpersonal functioning.
Ms. Taylor has extensive experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals involved in adoption and foster care, and those living with developmental disabilities. She is especially attuned to the needs of patients and families managing autism spectrum disorders, childhood behavioral challenges, and acquired brain injuries.
Her therapeutic framework incorporates evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She frequently integrates mindfulness-based interventions to support emotional resilience and present-moment awareness.
Ms. Taylor is also committed to helping patients recover from trauma and post-traumatic stress, manage substance use disorders, and navigate the complexities of living with ADHD. Her treatment approach is strengths-based and person-centered, empowering individuals to clarify their values, address psychological distress, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.
In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Taylor draws from a background in the arts, bringing a creative and intuitive presence to the therapeutic process. Outside of her professional practice, she enjoys artmaking, gardening, reading, and spending time in nature—activities that reflect her holistic view of healing and the importance of connection to self and environment.
