Jennifer Brinkman, Therapist
Hi, I’m Jennifer Brinkman, LSW. I support children, adolescents, young adults, and families across Illinois as they navigate emotional and behavioral challenges. In my work at LifeStance Health, I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you and your child can feel safe, understood, and supported.
I’m especially passionate about helping children and teens with anxiety, school-related stress, and behavioral challenges. With my certification in Evidence-Based Mental Health Practice with Children, I focus on building resilience, emotional regulation, and healthy coping skills. I also work closely with caregivers through approaches like Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and parenting skills training to strengthen family relationships.
I provide inclusive, affirming care for clients facing trauma, depression, gender identity development, and women’s issues, including youth in foster or adoptive placements and LGBTQ+ youth. My therapeutic approaches include CBT, exposure therapy, mindfulness, and faith-based or Christian counseling based on your goals and preferences.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, swimming, and spending time with my family, friends, and dogs. My hope is that every client feels supported, encouraged, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
