Taylor Herbord, Therapist
Taylor Herbord, LSW, is a compassionate Social Worker at LifeStance Health, serving individuals and families throughout Illinois. She provides therapy for teens, adults, and seniors, helping them navigate life’s challenges with empathy, insight, and evidence-based care. Taylor strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore emotions, develop coping skills, and build resilience as they work toward lasting change. Taylor supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, tailoring her approach to meet each person’s unique needs. Using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies, she helps clients gain greater emotional awareness and develop tools for balance and well-being. Her work also includes supporting couples and families through periods of transition, conflict, and recovery. Taylor is especially passionate about working with individuals who have been recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals. She provides specialized care during this critical period of transition, helping clients maintain stability, reconnect with their support systems, and develop structured, empowering plans for recovery. Her approach combines clinical understanding with compassion, ensuring that clients feel seen, validated, and supported as they rebuild confidence and independence. In addition to her clinical expertise, Taylor has experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals living with head injuries, and those managing co-occurring mental health and medical conditions. Her goal is to help each client find meaning, hope, and strength through personalized, integrative treatment. Outside of her clinical work, Taylor enjoys painting, hiking, running, cooking, and spending time with her dogs.
