Darth Vannah, Therapist
Darth Vannah helps adults across Massachusetts navigate complex emotional and life challenges with a neuroscience-background and an eclectic approach to therapy at LifeStance Health. She supports individuals and couples’ understanding of how the brain, body, and lived experiences shape behavior emphasizing the brain’s capacity for repair, rebuilding, and rewiring through neuroplasticity. Darth guides clients in reconnecting with their authentic selves distinct from internalized expectations formed by familial, societal, and cultural influences.
Her clinical focus includes intimacy challenges, major life transitions, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, and depression, while fostering purposeful, sustainable change. She blends movement and nature-inspired practices with evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. Research shows that therapeutic rapport outweighs any specific technique – and Darth prioritizes developing that connection with every individual (because the relationship is where the real healing happens). Darth works collaboratively with clients to build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and improve emotional regulation through a down-to-earth and witty nature. She aims to encourage an environment in which clients feel seen, understood, and liberated.
Darth has experience assisting diverse populations, including first responders, veterans, culturally distinct communities, members of the LGBTQ+ population, individuals impacted by structural inequities and offers additional areas of expertise to address a wide range of mental health needs.
Darth is particularly dedicated to working with individuals experiencing chronic illness and autoimmune disorders, grief and loss, prenatal, perinatal or postnatal mental health concerns. She understands the deep connection between physical health and emotional well-being and provides a space where clients can process complex experiences, adjust to life changes, and reconnect with a sense of identity and resilience. Her therapeutic lens is trauma-informed and holistic, helping clients integrate both mind and body in the healing process.
She believes therapy should feel both grounding and empowering, combining clinical expertise with curiosity, creativity, and a personalized touch. Outside of her clinical work, Darth enjoys spending time outdoors (notably in stormy weather)… especially near the ocean in all seasons – exploring new ideas and perspectives, and sharing adventures with her corgi, Joule. She also finds joy in life-long-learning, creative writing, and culinary “experimentation,” bringing a sense of warmth and vitality to her work.
While her name may spark a smile or a bit of curiosity, Darth embraces the reminder it offers: healing is not about eliminating the difficult parts of our story, but about learning how to accept all parts of ourselves with compassion and balance.
At the core of her work is a simple belief: The “Force” is within you – individuals have the power to heal, grow, and adopt meaningful transformations. Darth provides individual, group, and couples therapy for adults throughout Massachusetts.
