Thanh Nguyen, Therapist
There comes a point when the way we’ve been living no longer feels sustainable, and something inside us begins to press for a more honest way of being. You might feel caught between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming — aware that change is needed but unsure how to begin. Therapy offers a space to pause and listen to what that something is asking for.
I am a relational, depth-oriented psychotherapist who works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relational trauma, and chronic shame. These experiences can leave you feeling disconnected from your own voice, needs, or sense of vitality. I offer a space grounded in presence and compassion, with deep respect for the complexity of your inner life. Together, we explore the relationships and patterns that shape how you see yourself and relate to others.
Starting therapy is often a step into something new. You might arrive seeking relief or clarity, and that’s where we begin. We also make room for the deeper work that unfolds over time.
In our sessions, we slow down and attune to the narrative, the body, and the emotions that emerge. Therapy is not about fixing who you are, but about learning to meet your experience with kindness and curiosity, allowing self-trust to grow. As you develop a different relationship with yourself — more accepting, less self-critical — this shifts how you move through the world. Life tends to feel more coherent, relationships deepen in authenticity, and decisions become less driven by fear or self-doubt.
My clinical orientation weaves together attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness, and somatic awareness (including Focusing). I view symptoms not as problems to eliminate, but as meaningful signals that point toward what needs understanding and care. I work within relational and psychodynamic traditions, believing that healing emerges through genuine relationship, thoughtful attention to your inner world, and the capacity to inhabit a more embodied, integrated self.
