Makenzie Hetu, Therapist
Makenzie Hetu is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering compassionate mental health care to children, teens, and adults across Massachusetts. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy and case management, helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Makenzie creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported in expressing themselves and empowered to develop healthier ways of thinking, coping, and connecting. She is especially passionate about helping individuals manage postpartum depression and anxiety, process trauma, and work through difficult life transitions. Makenzie takes a strengths-based approach to therapy, guiding clients in reclaiming emotional balance and developing strategies that promote long-term well-being. Whether supporting someone adjusting to parenthood or healing from complex life experiences, she brings sensitivity, insight, and clinical expertise to each session. Makenzie utilizes evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and parenting skills support. Her experience with children and families impacted by adoption and foster care enhances her trauma-informed approach. She tailors care to each client’s unique needs, with an emphasis on building trust, resilience, and personal growth. Outside of her clinical work, Makenzie enjoys reading, playing soccer, and spending time with loved ones by the beach or in the mountains. She is passionate about community and wellness—both in and out of the therapy room.
