Ellen McCauley, Therapist
Ellen McCauley supports children, teens, and young adults in building emotional resilience, managing life’s challenges, and developing healthier patterns of behavior. Serving individuals and families across Massachusetts, she provides a warm, structured, and evidence-based approach to therapy and psychological testing. Ellen specializes in working with youth experiencing emotional or behavioral concerns, and partners closely with caregivers to promote long-term growth and success at home, in school, and beyond. Her work is deeply rooted in a commitment to understanding each child’s unique needs. Ellen is passionate about supporting young people struggling with anxiety, school avoidance, and childhood behavior issues. Whether it’s helping a child navigate social fears, guiding a teen through the complexities of emotional regulation, or working with parents to create consistent support systems, she uses clinical expertise grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, parenting skills, and family therapy to foster lasting progress. Ellen has extensive experience supporting children and teens with neurodevelopmental conditions including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities. Her understanding of trauma, grief, and emotional dysregulation allows her to work with care and sensitivity, particularly with youth from foster or adoptive backgrounds and those who identify as LGBTQ+. Outside of her clinical work, Ellen enjoys creating art through painting and collage and finds joy in music across all genres. Her creativity and warmth extend into her therapeutic style, helping young people feel engaged and supported throughout their care.
