Alex Regan, Therapist
Alex Regan, LMSW, helps individuals across Michigan navigate anxiety, depression, and trauma with a thoughtful, individualized approach grounded in evidence-based care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy for teens, adults, and seniors, creating a supportive environment where clients can build insight, develop coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change. Alex is especially passionate about working with racial trauma and identity, with a particular focus on supporting biracial individuals as they explore belonging, self-understanding, and the impact of lived experiences. He approaches this work with cultural awareness and sensitivity, helping clients process complex emotions while strengthening resilience and self-acceptance. His clinical work also addresses concerns such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, as well as grief, men’s issues, and pain management. Alex incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients better understand thought patterns, regulate emotions, and develop practical tools for daily life. He has experience supporting diverse populations, including individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and those with head injuries, and offers additional areas of focus to meet a wide range of needs. Since beginning his practice in 2018, Alex has remained committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care that respects each person’s unique story and goals. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys writing, creating music, traveling, exploring astrophysics, and spending time watching movies and TV shows.
