Amanda Maluchnik, Therapist
Amanda Maluchnik, LMSW, is dedicated to helping individuals across Michigan navigate their mental health challenges and find lasting healing. Specializing in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, Amanda supports clients dealing with PTSD, anxiety disorders like Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and depression, including Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). She also offers extensive experience in supporting individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), helping clients build the skills needed to manage intense emotions and improve their relationships. Amanda serves a wide range of clients, from adolescents to adults offering a compassionate, tailored approach to therapy. Amanda’s passion lies in guiding clients who have experienced trauma or significant life events. By incorporating evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Amanda helps clients develop coping strategies, regulate emotions, and build resilience. Her work is particularly focused on helping those who struggle with trauma-related symptoms, school avoidance, and women’s mental health issues, such as navigating motherhood or life transitions. Amanda also emphasizes family dynamics in her therapeutic approach, offering family therapy and parenting skills training to support stronger, healthier family relationships. Her experience extends to working with diverse populations, including first responders, individuals on the autism spectrum, and the LGBTQ+ community. Through her integrative approach, Amanda ensures that each client’s unique needs are addressed, providing a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. Outside of her practice, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She finds relaxation in reading and listening to podcasts, which fuels her continuous growth both personally and professionally.
