Heidi Dygert, Therapist

Heidi Dygert is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan who has been practicing since 2000. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Heidi has experience working with adolescents, adults, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and children who are the victims of abuse and neglect. Heidi gained this experience employed at locations which include the Department of Health and Human Services and Community Mental Health. She provided services based in the community, schools, office, and home settings. Her experience includes working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Heidi has been successful developing strong therapeutic relationships, enabling her to provide support in a comfortable environment. She has completed detailed psychosocial assessments to create individualized treatment plans and to determine mental health needs, strengths, and personal goals for treatment. Heidi understands the value of support services in the community and is prepared to advocate for and assist clients in obtaining appropriate services to support their personal growth. In her personal time Heidi enjoys reading and traveling. She spends too much time battling with weeds in her garden during Michigan’s warm seasons.
