Sarah VanSullen, Therapist
Sarah VanSullen, LMSW, helps adults across Michigan build resilience, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful, lasting change through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care at LifeStance Health. She provides individual therapy for adults and seniors, creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to address life’s challenges with confidence. Sarah specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand patterns of thinking and behavior that may be contributing to distress. Her approach is practical and collaborative, equipping individuals with tools to manage symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen overall mental wellness. She also has experience supporting individuals navigating complex life transitions and offers care tailored to each client’s unique goals. Sarah works with diverse populations including first responders, military/veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and offers additional areas of support. With a background as both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Nurse, Sarah brings a holistic perspective that integrates mental and physical health. Since beginning her practice in 2016, she has been committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care that meets clients where they are and supports long-term growth. Outside of her clinical work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, walking their dogs, gardening, and continually re-decorating her home—activities that reflect her appreciation for balance, creativity, and connection.
