Nick Platipodis is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri who has been practicing since 2021. He has an MA in counseling from Maryville University and a doctorate in clinical psychology from California Southern University. Nick believes in a person-centered approach to therapy believing that each individual comes with the capacity to grow and change in their own unique way. Nick primarily utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution focused therapy techniques when working with individuals. CBT allows individuals to gain an understanding of how their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are connected to help a person gain an understanding of how to regulate their own emotions. When working with couples and families, Nick primarily utilizes techniques that aim to create a better understanding of one another’s needs, implementing new communication patterns to resolve conflicts and prevent conflicts from arising, and remove barriers that lead to feelings of stagnation.

In his spare time Nick enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing and watching sports, being outdoors, cooking, and trying new hole in the wall restaurants.
