Abigail Citty, Therapist
Abigail Citty, LCSW, helps individuals across North Carolina build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change. She provides compassionate, evidence-based individual therapy for teens, adults, and seniors navigating life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Abigail creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to make progress at their own pace. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, PTSD/trauma, and depression, while also offering support for concerns such as ADHD, life transitions, substance use, and relationship challenges. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and exposure-based approaches to help clients better understand thought patterns, regulate emotions, and develop practical strategies for daily life. Abigail has experience working with women and members of the LGBTQ+ community and is committed to providing inclusive, affirming care. She offers additional support across a range of mental health needs. Abigail is especially dedicated to helping clients navigate complex emotional experiences and major life transitions, including stress related to identity, relationships, and personal growth. She works collaboratively with each client to tailor treatment to their unique goals, fostering resilience and long-term wellbeing. Outside of therapy, Abigail enjoys reading, cooking, solving puzzles, spending time with her dog, and relaxing with paint-by-number projects.
