Zoe Altis, Therapist
Zoey Altis, LMSW, graduated with Bachelors in Science with a major in Psychology with a focus in Psychological Sciences. She continued her studies with obtaining her Masters in Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Mental Health, Substance Use, & Co-Occurring Disorders. She has completed her clinical practicums at Haskins Laboratories via Yale University, Yale Behavioral Health via Yale School of Medicine, and therapeutic day schools. Since then, she has worked in residential, hospital, non-profit community nature-based, & private outpatient supporting adolescents and adults who are coping with the effects of anxiety, depression, family conflict, grief, life transitions, peer issues, trauma, personality disorders, neurodivergence, and more. Relationally trained, she strives to create a healing connection that can be transferred outside of the therapy room into your other relationships. Here, we like to focus our work in 3 areas: relationship to yourself, others, & the world. We will oscillate between your past and present experiences to increase awareness & understanding of how we got here and where we would like to go in the future.
Her therapeutic approach is person centered, trauma informed with taking an individualized approach, eclectically incorporating therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. It would be her joy to partner with you on your therapeutic journey as you seek to root and restore. She offers virtual and in-person individual psychotherapy services in New York.
