Laura Troxel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 20 years of practice working with individuals ranging in age from 11 to 70. Laura has extensive experience with individual dealing with life changes, depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar illness, addiction, anger, chronic mental health conditions, parents of children with behavioral health issues, and loved ones of persons dealing with addition. Laura’s practice consists of multi-modal interventions, seeking to find the best treatment approach for each individual client, drawing from Person Centered and Cognitive Behavioral, Rational Emotive, Stages of Change, and Motivational Interviewing therapies and interventions. Laura utilizes a collaborative therapeutic approach, where there is no judgment, no wrong way, but rather, a relationship where therapist and client work together to identify goals and solutions. Laura considers herself a warm, compassionate therapist who is also easily relatable, supportive and LGBTQ affirming. In her time away from therapy, Laura enjoys part time work as an Adjunct Professor at a local university, house plants and gardening, animals, home DIY projects and spending time with her family.
