Kim’s therapeutic approach is tailored to the needs of the individual and their family system. She focuses on developing a welcoming and meaningful therapeutic relationship allowing for the creation of a safe space to grow and learn. Kim’s approach includes supporting the client by using a strength-based approach, questioning patterns of thoughts that do not serve, and tapping into the client’s sense of purpose. Kim has training in trauma informed care, understanding developmental issues, anxiety disorders, identifying strengths in families/couples and the use of solution-focused counseling. Kim received her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. Prior to private practice, she was a high school teacher, a high school counselor and a middle school counselor, working 20 years with children, young adults and their families. She is especially passionate about supporting girls, women, and those in the LGBTQ+ community on their journey to find balance, contentment and personal empowerment.
