Gabrielle Carter, Therapist

Gabrielle Carter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who started practicing in 2023. Gabrielle is a strength based and trauma informed clinical therapist. She strives to create a safe and supportive environment to allow clients to grow while working through the therapeutic process. She is a dedicated clinician who truly believes in utilizing individuals’ unique strengths to address hardships. She hopes to bring humor, connection, and open-minded conversation to your therapy experience. Gabrielle has worked in the field for more than five years serving children, adolescents, and adults within a range of settings. In her undergraduate work she provided home based services to families, children, and adolescents in both Rhode Island and West Virginia. This work focused on family preservation and supporting each individual member’s mental health needs and overall well-being. Gabrielle has interned in an elementary school and provided clinical counseling to students with behavioral, academic, and mental health challenges. Within the private practice setting she has worked with individuals ranging from age 7-65. She has also facilitated children, teen girl, and young adult therapeutic groups. Gabrielle’s two golden retrievers and two cats mean the world to her. She collects quirky clay earrings, enjoys traveling and visiting new places and is also an avid foodie who loves any form of fried chicken.
