Joe Parente, Therapist
Mr. Parente has had over forty years of extensive experience working with youth in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings. He has worked at Bradley Hospital, Kent County Community Mental Health Center (Reunification Program), Pawtucket Police Domestic Response Team. He has experience with addictions and worked at Edgehill of Newport as a supervisor of substance abuse counselors. In addition, Joe was also the clinical director of Turning Point and a clinical consultant at Whitmarsh, a residential facility for adolescents. He is a graduate of Rhode Island College where he received his BA and MSW in social work. He has also been an Adjunct Clinical Field Instructor for Rhode Island College School of Social Work. Joe is an avid fitness buff. He cycles, lifts weights and skis.
