Chakita Patterson helps individuals and couples regain stability, confidence, and emotional well-being through compassionate, structured therapy. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for adults, and seniors across Tennessee, supporting clients through complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Her approach is grounded, thoughtful, and collaborative, helping patients feel supported while working toward meaningful and sustainable change. Chakita is especially passionate about supporting individuals who are recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital and those navigating disability paperwork. She understands that transitions after hospitalization can feel overwhelming and destabilizing, and she focuses on helping patients reestablish routines, manage symptoms, and build coping strategies that support ongoing recovery. She also assists clients who need clinical documentation for disability-related needs, approaching this work with care, clarity, and respect for each person’s lived experience. Her clinical focus includes anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related concerns, while also addressing additional mental health conditions as needed. Chakita incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and faith-based treatment when appropriate, tailoring care to align with each client’s values, goals, and belief systems. She has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals involved in adoption or foster care, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and military service members and veterans, and she offers support to additional populations as well. Outside of her clinical work, Chakita values activities that help her stay grounded and balanced. She enjoys traveling, spending time in nature, continuous learning, and staying connected to her community. These practices support her own well-being and allow her to remain present, regulated, and engaged in her work with clients. Chakita is committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality mental health care to individuals and couples throughout Tennessee.
