Cheriesa Selman helps individuals and families across Tennessee find hope, healing, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. She works with children, teens, adults, and seniors, offering a supportive and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and move toward lasting growth. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, or significant life transitions, Cheriesa provides care that is grounded in empathy and evidence-informed practices to help clients achieve meaningful change. Cheriesa is especially passionate about supporting clients facing trauma, PTSD, and women’s mental health concerns, including postpartum depression and reproductive challenges. She also works extensively with children and adolescents, helping them manage behavioral challenges, school avoidance, and developmental stressors in ways that strengthen both the child and family unit. Her approach integrates techniques such as mindfulness and parent-child interaction strategies, as well as trauma-focused and cognitive-behavioral interventions tailored to each client’s needs. She also has experience supporting individuals from diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, those in foster or adoptive care, and military families, creating a safe, affirming space for every client. Outside of her work at LifeStance Health, Cheriesa finds balance and purpose through activities that nurture her connection to community and nature. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, rescuing and fostering animals, practicing yoga, hiking, gardening, and creative pursuits like sewing. These passions reflect her belief in intentional living, kindness, and lifelong learning.
