Modinat Showemimo, Therapist
Modinat Showemimo is a compassionate and experienced licensed master social worker providing therapy services to individuals, families, and groups across Texas. She works with clients of all ages, from young children to seniors, helping them navigate a range of mental health challenges. Through a personalized and evidence-based approach, she supports individuals struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other concerns, empowering them to build resilience and improve their overall well-being. Modinat is especially passionate about supporting individuals facing PTSD, childhood behavioral issues, and reproductive challenges. She understands the lasting impact that trauma can have on a person’s emotional and psychological health and works closely with clients to process their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Additionally, she helps parents and caregivers address behavioral concerns in children, using structured interventions to foster positive development. For those experiencing reproductive challenges, including infertility and postpartum mental health concerns, she provides guidance and emotional support to help them navigate these deeply personal experiences. With expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and parent-child interaction therapy, Modinat tailors treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual and family. She is also dedicated to working with diverse populations, including individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, those with developmental disabilities, and individuals with military or veteran backgrounds. Her inclusive and client-centered approach ensures that each person feels heard, understood, and supported in their therapeutic journey. Outside of her work, Modinat enjoys baking, playing soccer, and working on puzzles. She also loves spending time with her pet dog and cat, as well as traveling with friends and family.
