Crystal R. Montoya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas who has been practicing since 2021. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Schreiner University her Master’s degree in Social Work at Texas State. Crystal strives to meet clients where they are at, while understanding that every client is different. She uses Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) as a starting point with all clients to help establish rapport and determine what goals they’d like to work on. Crystal believes it is essential to maintain an inviting, “open-door” policy that encourages clients to be as open and honest as possible. She has experience and knowledge of 504 accommodations/IEP’s and specializes in crisis management (suicidal ideation/self-harm/social anxiety). Outside of work, Crystal enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and cat Boots. She also enjoys listening to music, reading, taking walks outside (when it’s not too hot!), catching up on her favorite shows and taking Zumba classes to dance!

Ms. Montoya is a refreshingly compassionate care provider. She provides great advice while checking with me to make sure it aligns with what I’m thinking and desiring for help. Her ability to draw out a conversation with me and help me to explain to her what I need help with specifically shows her professionalism. I am so pleased with our first session and look forward to our further conversations. I am completely comfortable that Ms. Montoya will help me process the grief I’ve had bottled up for many years now! Thank you Crystal! All the staff I have interacted with show such kindness and professionalism in helping support the care staff to help get me the help I need. Fantastic organization!

Crystal Montoya is the best counselor I’ve ever had At first, I was Against having a therapist, but talking to her, made me change my mind She listens Gives great advice, doesn’t judge and she takes her job seriously and most importantly, she never gave up on me at my hardest times I would definitely recommend her and if I needed to choose another counselor, I’ll choose her over and over again
