Harry Livesay, Therapist
Harry Livesay, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-S), offers compassionate and empowering mental health services to adults and couples across Texas. With over 25 years of experience, Harry is committed to helping his clients navigate life’s challenges, whether they involve depression, anxiety, chronic illness, or caregiver stress. He believes in building resilience and providing practical tools to manage difficult emotions, family conflicts, and personal growth. His approach centers on developing new skills for coping and finding fulfillment in relationships, careers, and everyday life. Harry is particularly passionate about guiding clients through life transitions, such as aging, midlife changes, and managing chronic health conditions.
He often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Couples/Marital Counseling, and Exposure Therapy to support clients in overcoming obstacles and building stronger connections with their inner selves and loved ones. With a focus on helping individuals find their own “hero’s journey,” Harry encourages self-discovery, growth, and transformation, using the Joseph Campbell model to inspire a personal call to adventure. In his practice, Harry works with a diverse range of populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders. His clinical expertise also extends to treating first responders, those coping with head injuries, and individuals facing complex life transitions.
Whether addressing issues related to gender identity, PTSD, or grief, Harry offers a supportive space for healing and self-empowerment.
Outside of his clinical work, Harry enjoys collecting vintage toys and comic books, teaching continuing education courses, and spending time with his two pet cats. He has also published articles on social media’s impact and personal growth through the hero’s journey. Harry continues to serve clients across Texas, offering therapy that inspires change and resilience.
