Iesha Yu, Therapist
Iesha Yu is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate dedicated to providing compassionate and effective mental health care to individuals and families across Texas. She works with clients of all ages, from young children to seniors, helping them navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With a warm and client-centered approach, she creates a safe space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions while developing the skills needed for long-term emotional well-being. Iesha has a particular passion for working with individuals facing PTSD and trauma-related challenges, postpartum depression and anxiety, and childhood behavioral issues. She understands the profound impact that trauma and stress can have on mental health and is committed to helping clients regain a sense of safety, stability, and self-confidence. Whether guiding parents through the complexities of childhood behavioral concerns or supporting individuals in their postpartum journey, she provides tailored strategies that promote resilience and healing. Utilizing a range of evidence-based interventions, Iesha incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and family therapy to address the unique needs of her clients. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with autism spectrum disorders, those in the adoption and foster care system, and military personnel. Her integrative approach ensures that therapy is adapted to each person’s background, values, and goals, fostering meaningful and lasting change. Outside of her professional work, Iesha is a devoted mother to a wonderful child with special needs. She is actively involved with Mensa and the youth Mensa community in Central Texas, as well as volunteering with children’s ministries. She and her son share a love for Pokémon, sci-fi movies, and exploring museums and festivals. She also enjoys cooking, singing, and traveling.
