Eva Tukuafu, Therapist
Eva Tukuafu provides compassionate and evidence-based support to adults and seniors across Utah who are navigating complex mental health challenges. She helps clients manage anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral concerns, empowering them to develop coping strategies and build resilience for lasting well-being. Her work is tailored to each person’s unique needs, ensuring a safe and supportive space for growth and healing. Eva is especially passionate about supporting individuals with chronic, rare or degenerative illnesses and their family members and caregivers. Eva also has specialized training in the psychological impacts of neurological disorders on individuals and their loved ones from childhood Tourette Syndrome or muscular dystrophy to ALS, Huntington’s Disease and dementia. She understands the unique challenges these conditions present in daily life, relationships, and self-esteem. Working from an ACT framework she combines behavioral interventions with mindfulness, CBT, and DBT techniques, helping clients gain control over symptoms, reduce stress, and enhance quality of life. She also addresses a broad range of mental health needs including sleep disorders, reproductive and post-partum concerns, pain management, and somatoform disorders. Eva works with diverse populations, including women, LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, military personnel, and those with head injuries or on the autism spectrum. Her approach is holistic, integrating mind-body awareness and emphasizing that mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. Outside of her clinical practice, Eva enjoys reading and writing poetry, swimming, boating, and fishing, finding peace and balance by the water with her family.
