Chase Wheeler, Therapist
Chase Wheeler is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at LifeStance Health who supports adolescents and teens throughout Utah with a grounded, no-nonsense approach rooted in real-life experience. He works with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex behavioral concerns. His clients often include those in high-stress environments or with high-functioning demands, such as teens facing academic and social pressure or families coping with intense emotional strain. Chase is particularly passionate about working with individuals impacted by trauma and those in the first responder community. With nearly a decade of firsthand experience as a firefighter and paramedic, he deeply understands the mental health toll of crisis-driven work. This perspective allows him to provide uniquely empathetic and effective care to teens in crisis, those recovering from traumatic events, and members of the military or public safety sectors. He also has experience supporting individuals with sleep disorders, school avoidance, and pain-related conditions. Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and faith-based counseling when desired, Chase helps clients develop practical coping strategies and long-term resilience. His therapeutic style is direct yet supportive, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parenting interventions, and family systems work. He frequently works with teens on the autism spectrum, youth in foster care, and those with developmental challenges. His group and intensive outpatient therapy (IOP) experience supports a comprehensive approach to healing. Outside the therapy space, Chase is an adrenaline junkie who thrives in the outdoors—surfing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping with his family. He values time spent around a fire or out on the water and is always up for a new adventure.
