Christy Calderon is an LPC-S in the state of Texas, an LPC in the state of Colorado and a CMHC in the state of Utah. She has been practicing since 1995. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, New Mexico State University with a MA in Counseling and Guidance and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Masters Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Christy is passionate about working with individuals, ages 16 and older, who struggling with various mood, anxiety, addiction and psychotic disorders; individuals who are experiencing trauma; women’s issues; transition aged youth issues; individuals struggling with chronic illnesses; and older adults struggling with age-related cognitive decline, life issues and life transitions. Christy specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness and life management skills training. She believes that people who live with and strive for gratitude in their lives are less likely to suffer from anxiety and depression and are more likely to exhibit better physical and mental health. In her spare time, Christy enjoys spending time with her parents, her family and her dogs. She loves to travel and learn about different cultures, enjoys reading, watching documentaries and listening to music. Christy is an avid fan of college football and makes it a point to attend as many live football games as possible.
