Josefina Pope, Therapist
Josefina Pope, MSW, Supervisee in Clinical Social Work, helps individuals and families navigate life’s challenges by providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to their unique needs. She serves clients across Virginia, offering both in-person and virtual services through LifeStance Health. Josefina supports children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors, creating a safe and inclusive space for growth and healing. With a clinical focus on trauma, mood disorders, and behavioral issues, Josefina offers specialized care for those experiencing anxiety, PTSD, and depression. She uses a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to support individuals in understanding and managing their emotional responses. She also provides services within intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) levels of care, working collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families toward meaningful and sustainable change. Josefina is particularly passionate about working with clients affected by substance use and recovery, complex trauma, and reproductive challenges. She is deeply committed to helping individuals rebuild their sense of self after trauma or addiction and supporting women and families navigating postpartum depression, infertility, or other reproductive mental health concerns. She brings both clinical knowledge and deep empathy to these highly sensitive areas, ensuring her clients feel heard and empowered throughout their journeys. In addition to her clinical work, Josefina enjoys crocheting, reading, hiking, and spending quality time with her loved ones—including her two cats. She is fluent in Spanish and proudly serves diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, military and veteran families, individuals in foster or adoptive care, and those recovering from head injuries.
